Clinical Application Specialist – France-Region South East

Are you the expert consultant who excels in supporting surgeons and distributors during live operations, showcasing and training on DORC equipment? Are you skilled in cross-selling and delivering exceptional onsite technical service?

If so, we invite you to explore the opportunity to join us as a Clinical Application Specialist in the picturesque South-East region of France.

Main responsibilities:

  • Train the D.O.R.C. partners in the region to be able to train end-users on D.O.R.C. products and its usage; Both on the service and application side and follow on meeting their training commitments with LMS platform
  • Support when needed Installation of the surgical equipment at the site
  • Demonstrate when required the equipment and its applications to doctors and hospital staff and do the cross selling if possible for our instruments and liquids
  • Stay up to date with new instruments, disposables and new surgical techniques
  • Report results of installation / demonstration / training to National Sales Manager
  • Report complaints to Sales & General Manager and Headquarter Application Specialist
  • Report technical defects to Sales & General Manager and Headquarter Application Specialist
  • Report activities of competition to Sales & General Manager and Headquarter Application Specialist
  • Installation of hardware, backup systems, software, including overnight deliveries when required
  • Technical support and field repair of all D.O.R.C. machines, solving first line defects
  • Make use of skills to promote and introduce new D.O.R.C. products to existing and new clients
  • Attendance of local activities if needed such as workshops and congresses

 Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Set up and support of D.O.R.C. machines for OR trials in conjunction with sales reps
  • Report possible sales leads to Sales & General Manager
  • Report complaints to the Customer Service at  Headquarters
  • Report technical defects to Sales Support and Customer Service
  • Inform activities of competition to the sales team
  • Identify and report possible key opinion leaders to Key Account Manager
  • Report input of KOL to Key Account Manager
  • Test and check equipment for technical specifications in filling/checking the tenders specification sheets
  • Willing to spend at least 35% of his time travelling abroad his home country on business trips
  • Very good communication skills, self-motivated and be able to work independently
  • Service oriented and familiar with operating theater protocol (how to react in  the OR)
  • Very Good verbal and written communication skills in French and  English
  • Very Good training and presentation skills
  • Technical degree, preferably in Ophthalmology
  • 4-7 years direct experience in the Ophthalmology field with direct contact with surgeons/staff in the operating room, preferably with experience of sales role
  • 2-5 years direct experience and knowledge of solving mechanical & technical issues
